The Slow Mo Guys host Gavin Free released a fascinating video that explores super slow-motion footage and what it would be like if every second lasted an hour. He shot high-speed footage at 90,000 frames per second and then played the footage back at 25 fps. This makes each second last an hour, and the results are certainly cool-looking. We just don’t see the beauty in things like this when they happen in real time.

Something mathematically magical happens when you shoot at exactly 90,000 frames per second. I you divide that by 25, you get 3600 seconds, which turns out to be exactly 1 hour. 90,000 frames per second played back at 25 stretches one second to be an hour long.

I’ve got two videos for you to watch below. The first is an explanation of all of this, the second is footage of someone falling into a pool for an hour.
