Supercut: Pixar's References to Classic Films

The writers, directors, animators, and creative team at Pixar are known for sneaking Easter eggs and references to other Pixar movies into whatever current project they happen to be working on. But the studio isn't only concerned with referencing its own output — the creative teams that work on their movies love film, so if you look closely, you'll see plenty of nods to other classic films throughout history hidden in plain sight.

Editor Jorge Luengo Ruiz has put together a supercut of these references, and it's cool to see them played out side by side to show just how purposeful (and accurate) they are.

Pixar pays tribute to cinema. Music: Thomas Newman and Michael Giacchino Note: I don't have include A Bugs's Life because it is a special case. Whole the plot is a tribute to Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.
