SUPERGIRL's Jon Cryer Will Not Be Returning to Play Lex Luthor in The CW's SUPERMAN & LOIS

Jon Cryer (Pretty in Pink, Two and a Half Men) has been playing the role of Lex Luthor in The CW series Supergirl, and fans have wondered if he would cross over into The CW series Superman & Lois. But Cryer has taken to Twitter to announce officially that he is not going to be playing the part on the other show. This makes sense as the Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch-led series isn’t set in the Arrowverse world.

Aside from the 20 episodes of Supergirl Cryer appeared in, he also became a part of The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, which allowed him to star in an episode of Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.

It’s too bad that Cryer didn’t get to continue the role, if that’s what he’d been hoping to do, but them’s the breaks. Who would you like to see recast as Lex Luthor in Superman & Lois?

Would’ve been fun.

But I’m not sure I could’ve played Lex on @cwsupermanlois even if they wanted to do this.
