Superman — '40s Era Krypton "Farewell"

This uncredited sculpture, photographed by Cihan Ünalan, depicts an infant Kal-El on Krypton moments before leaving his parents Jor-El and Lara-El. The styling as far as I can tell is 1940s era Superman.

One day I'd really love to see a Superman movie set around the time period that he was created, or maybe even in the Mad Men era of the late '50s and early '60s.
