SUPERMAN & LOIS Renewed for Season 4 While GOTHAM KNIGHTS Is Cancelled After One Season
The CW has renewed Superman & Lois for a fourth season, and it will consist of ten new episodes. This DC series has been a big hit with fans, so I’m not surprised that it got picked up another season. This will be the last remaining DC series on The CW because you know what show didn’t make the cut? Gotham Knights.
The CW has canceled Gotham Knights after only one season, and that doesn’t surprise me either because that show was not good.
But, the renewal of Superman & Lois comes at a cost. Deadline is reporting that to make the deal work the network will be cutting the budget and they will reduce the number of series cast members. Superman & Lois has 12 series regulars, and while the series regulars should be fine, some of the supporting cast members will likely be reduced.

In Superman & Lois, “After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books' famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever -- dealing with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.”
In Gotham Knights, “in the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.
