SWAMP THING Casts Ian Zeiring as Blue Devil

DC is on a role with making casting announcements for their DC Universe projects. On top of some recent announcements for Stargirl, there’s been an announcement for Swamp Thing. Ian Ziering, most recently famous for his role as Fin Shepherd in Sharknado, has joined the cast. Ziering has received the honor of guest starring in the first season as Blue Devil or David Cassidy. Here’s a brief description of the character that was provided:

“Stuntman turned movie star, Daniel Cassidy became semi-famous after playing the demonic Blue Devil. But now, eight years later, Cassidy finds himself living out his days in frustration, pining for his former fame while on a collision course with destiny.”

Swamp Thing is currently set to premiere in June 2019 on DC’s streaming platform. A fictional poster for a Blue Devil movie was also released:
