Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell Start Up a Fake Romance in Trailer for ANYONE BUT YOU
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming rom-com Anyone But You. The movie stars Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) as two people who don’t like each other and pretend to be in a relationship.
The two characters are old enemies from college, and they end up faking their relationship after they are invited to a destination wedding that will be attended by both their exes
The film is described as an “edgy comedy” and the synopsis reads: “Bea (Sweeney) and Ben (Powell) look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold - until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.”
Sweeney previously said of the film during an appearance at CinemaCon: "What better place to put a nightmare and an a**hole than on the other side of the world in the most romantic setting imaginable?"
The movie was directed and co-written by Will Gluck (Easy A), with Ilana Wolpert (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) co-writing the script. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney (Scream VI), Alexandra Shipp (Barbie), Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard), GaTa (Dave), Hadley Robinson (Winning Time), Darren Barnet (Never Have I Ever), and Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under).
Anyone But You is the latest R-rated comedy that will hit theaters on December 22, 2023.
