SYFY Cancels DC's KRYPTON Series and The LOBO Series is Dead

After only two seasons, the SyFy Channel has decided to cancel Krypton and they will not proceed with the Lobo spinoff series that has been in development.

I’m not really surprised by this news, I personally haven’t really been impressed by the series and the story it was telling. But, according to Deadline, Warner Horizon Scripted Television is currently in talks with other outlets and they are hoping to continue the series on another network or streaming service.

It’s explained that “DC Universe and the upcoming HBO Max streaming platform are considered the most logical option as DC content has been a focus for both.” If the series does end up living on somewhere else, chances are I won’t watch it because the series never really grabbed me anyway.

Krypton was set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet. “The series followed Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather, as a young man who is faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed to restore the fate of his future grandson.”

Krypton was executive produced by David S. Goyer, alongside Cameron Welsh who served as showrunner. What do you think about Krypton and the fact that SyFy canceled it?
