Sylvester Stallone Confirms He's Working on a New EXPENDABLES Movie
It looks like Sylvester Stallone isn’t finished with the The Expendables action movie franchise yet! The filmmaker confirmed on Instagram on the 4th of July that he’s going to start cooking up the next adventure for his team of badass mercenaries. Here’s what he said:
I’ve enjoyed The Expendables films! The over-the-top action-packed craziness involving the industry’s biggest action stars has been ridiculous, but it’s still a ton of fun! It’s one of those guilty pleasures that consistently delivers silly yet badass entertainment.
If Stallone wants to make a fourth film in the franchise, I’ll show up to watch it! I know exactly what I’m in for when I watch one of these movies.
Stallone first started talking about Expendables 4 project about three years ago. Over that time, we've heard that Hulk Hogan was in talks to play the villain and that Stallone is looking to give fans something completely different. When talking about that, Stallone said:
"I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the 'fish out of water' scenario. That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring."
We don't know for sure which actors will be returning for the fourth installment, or if the vision for the movie has changed, but I'm sure Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture will all come back.
