Sylvester Stallone Confirms That He Will Not Be Returning for CREED III

Sylvester Stallone has played his iconic character Rocky Balboa in eight films, including each of the Rocky movies as well as the first two Creed films. After the second movie was released, Stallone stated he would not be back to reprise his role. But now that a third Creed movie is in the works, fans wanted to be sure that he didn’t change his mind or reach a deal too enticing to pass up.

Stallone made a comment on his Instagram (Via JoBlo) confirming that he will not back for Creed III, which is currently in development under the direction of franchise star Michael B. Jordan, and set to hit theaters in 2022. But Stallone has a lot of other projects in the works, including The Suicide Squad, Samaritan, Little America, and The Expendables 4.
