Sylvester Stallone Gives Us An Update on CREED 2 From Inside A Boxing Ring

Creed 2 officially began production and as per usual Michael B. Jordan's co-star and Rocky himself Sylvester Stallone is keeping us all updated from his social media accounts.  Stallone posted a couple short videos on Instagram from the set of the film and inside the boxing ring. In one video he gives us a peek inside his trailer and says:

"You guys want to be high and dry for the fight that’s coming."

In the other trailer he gives a quick rundown of the day.  He is seen wearing a shirt with the name Creed embroidered on it. Stallone, who also wrote the script, even exclaims that the movie is taking off already and is "exceeding his wildest dreams."

We know for sure that big fight will include Ivan Drago's son, being played by Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, taking on Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed. What makes this fight so fascinating and dramatic is the fact that Dolph Lundgren's Drago killed Adonis' dad Apollo.

It was previously revealed that the story would follow "Adonis Creed’s life inside and outside of the ring as he deals with newfound fame, issues with his family, and his continuing quest to become a champion." It was also said that it is "a tale beyond the boxing ring and dives deep into family, legacy, and fears." Here's the synopsis:

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

I'm excited to see how this next chapter in the story turns out!

Creed 2 is being directed by Steven Caple Jr., who is best known for directing 2016’s skateboarding drama The Land. The script for the film comes from Stallone and Luke Cage showrunner and writer Cheo Hodari Coker. The movie also stars Tessa Thompson as Bianca, Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne, Wood Harris as Tony ‘Little Duke’ Burton, and Andre Ward as Danny ‘Stuntman’ Wheeler.

Creed 2 arrives in theaters on November 21, 2018.
