Sylvester Stallone May Not Be Back For CREED III, But He's Got Ideas For a New ROCKY Sequel!

I’ve enjoyed the Creed films and how they have continued the story of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa. Those films have been just as much about him as they have about the journey of Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed.

Stallone recently did a live-session video on Instagram and he was asked about his future involvement with the franchise, specifically if we’ve seen the last of Rocky on the big screen, and this was his response:

"Well, I believe in the film Creed, that's possible, yes. But I never say no to to a Rocky, because I have a couple of ideas."

So, while he thinks that he won’t return for another Creed film, he’s open to another Rocky movie! He goes on to say, though, that he’s not sure if that will happen, though, because his ideas for Rocky’s future don’t involve Rocky in the ring, and he doesn’t think people will want to see that.

I would! I would love to see the story of this character continue even if we never see him set foot in the ring again. He’s just been such a great character to follow over the years and a character-driven film that continues Rocky’s journey throughout life is something that I’d personally be interested in seeing.

Stallone previously pitched a sequel that sees Rocky back in the role of a trainer, passing on his expertise to a new fighter. In this story, Rocky befriends a boxer who's in the country illegally and winds up being deported. So, Rocky follows him to his home country, which takes Rocky completely outside of his element. Stallone said:

"Rocky meets a young, angry person who got stuck in this country when he comes to see his sister. He takes him into his life, and unbelievable adventures begin, and they wind up south of the border. It's very, very timely."

Would you be up for watching a new Rocky movie like this?
