Sylvester Stallone Reveals That DEMOLITION MAN 2 Is in the Works at Warner Bros.
Have any of you been hoping that one day you would get to see a sequel to Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes’s 1993 action thriller Demolition Man? Well, that sequel is actually in the works! On Instagram, Stallone himself revealed the news that he’s working on it right now over at Warner Bros.
While answering some questions from the fans, he was asked about the potential future of Demolition Man, and that where he surprisingly dropped the news on Demolition Man 2, Saying:
"I think there is. We're working on it right now with Warner Bros. and it's looking fantastic. So that should come out, that's going to happen."
He didn’t offer any other details and there’s no word on how far along he and his team are in development on the project. But, he does say that it’s “looking fantastic,” which means there must be some writing and/of concept artwork that’s been done.
Are any of you excited that there’s a Demolition Man sequel in the works?!
The original film was directed by Marco Brambilla, and it also starred Sandra Bullock. If you need a refresher, I included a synopsis for the original film and the original trailer.
With innocent victims caught in the crossfire in Los Angeles' intensifying war on crime, both cop John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone) and violent thug Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes) are sentenced to a state of frozen incarceration known as "CryoPrison." When Spartan is finally thawed 36 years later, it's 2032, and Los Angeles is now a pacifist utopia called San Angeles. But with Phoenix again on the loose, Spartan must team up with future cop Lenina (Sandra Bullock) to apprehend the killer.
Here’s the trailer:
