Sylvester Stallone Shares Poster For His Upcoming Director's Cut of ROCKY IV
Sylvester Stallone has been hard at work producing a director’s cut of his classic 1985 film Rocky IV. I’m a big fan of this film, and it’s one of my favorites in the franchise. It was great to see the rivalry between Rocky and Drago continue in Creed 2, but now we’ve got this new cut of Rocky IV to look forward to!
The new cut of Rocky IV, which is officially titled Rocky vs. Drago - The Ultimate Director's Cut, will also be released with the documentary Keep Punching: The Present Meets the Past. That doc will chronicle the making of the film.
One of the big changes to the film that Stallone previously shared was that he cut out Paulie’s robot, Sico. When asked whether this new version would "expand on the relationship between Paulie and his robot," Stallone said, "The Robot is going to the junkyard forever. No more robot.” He went on to say, “I don’t like the robot anymore.”
Stallone has now released a new poster for Rocky vs. Drago - The Ultimate Director's Cut, and it’s sure to get fans pumped up for what this director’s cut will entail. Stallone previously talked about the film, saying, “So far it looks great. Soulful.”
He also recently revealed that the movie is coming soon and that it will “Premiere in Philly which is going to be fantastic!” I’m excited to see what Stallone does with this film.
