Sylvester Stallone isn’t finished with the Rocky franchise yet. In fact, he just shared the first two pages of a story treatment for a Rocky prequel series that he wants to produce. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard Stallone talk about a Rocky prequel series, but this is our first real tease of what we can expect to see from the series if it actually happens.

Stallone shared the following note with the post: "This may be the strangest posting yet. I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel For streaming. Ideally 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the Characters… Hope it happens."

You can check out the images below and we also included a transcription:

The treatment reads: "Imagine a time machine that will simply transport us back to the origins of Rocky. A cinematic world brimming with characters that have been beloved by people around the world for nearly five decades. Climbing aboard that time machine that will take us to the most transformative generation in modern history: The Sixties: The Moon landing, the sexual revolution, the new left, hippie movement, the Cold War, the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam disaster, The Assinatin of President John F. Kennedy, the death of Martin Luther King, The Black Panther movement, the feminist movement, the Cuban missile crises, The Beatles, Dylan, Mohamed Ali, and so on an son on. Needless to say the 60s was a dynamic time.”

It goes on to say: "Yet among all this social seismic activity we drop in on the rather plain life of 17 year old Robert 'Rocky' Balboa. When we first meet rocky in 1976 he was a very lost soul - a forgotten man, a wasted life, until he was transformed into a winner. We now see this young man struggling like all young people trying to find (their place)."

As a fan of Stallone’s Rocky franchise, I really hope that he gets this series off the ground. If he does get to make it, I’ll be there to watch it!
