Sylvester Stallone Admits Career Regrets in Trailer for His Netflix Documentary SLY

Netflix has released the first trailer for Sly, a new documentary about the life and career of Sylvester Stallone. The doc was directed by Thom Zimny (Springsteen on Broadway), and it will explore the highs and lows of his nearly 50-year Hollywood career.

The trailer features Stallone talking about the sacrifices, fears, and insecurities that tend to be a part of filmmaking and admits career regrets saying: “Do I have regrets? “Hell yeah, I have regrets.” He also says in the trailer, “What is healthier — to live under the illusion that you could have been great? Or actually have an opportunity to be great, and then you blow it, and you realize you’re a failure?”

The synopsis reads: “For nearly 50 years Sylvester Stallone has entertained millions with iconic characters and blockbuster franchises, from Rocky to Rambo to The Expendables. This retrospective documentary offers an intimate look at the Oscar-nominated actor-writer-director-producer, paralleling his inspirational underdog-story with the indelible characters he has brought to life.”

The doc will be released on Netflix in November.
