Sylvester Stallone is Set to Guest Star on THIS IS US Season 2

NBC's family drama This Is Us kind of took TV fans by surprise, but get ready, you are about to be surprised again. This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman announced that Sylvester Stallone will guest-star in the upcoming second season. Fogelman made the announcement on Thursday at during a panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour.

If you remember from the first season, aspiring actor Kevin (Justin Hartley) gets asked by Ron Howard to be in his next film. Stallone enters the story as one of the stars of that film. He’ll also serve as a bit of a “father figure” for Kevin. In the Season 1 finale, Kevin was last seen headed to California to shoot the movie, after telling his ex-wife, Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge), that he belonged with her in New York.

Stallone is the first big-name guest star of the NBC family drama's second season. Last season, celebrities playing themselves in cameos included Katie Couric, Seth Meyers, Alan Thicke, and Howard.

This Is Us kicks off season 2 on September 26.
