Sylvester Stallone Wants a RAMBO Prequel Film and He Shares His Vision For It

It’s been teased that the story of John Rambo will come to a close with the upcoming film Rambo: Last Blood. Well, while this film will bring the Rambo’s story to a close, Sylvester Stallone wants to tell a new story that starts at the beginning. He wants to make a prequel film that focuses on Rambo as a teenager.

While talking to ScreenRant, Stallone shared his vision for the young character and the story which will show the person that Rambo was before being shipped out to Vietnam:

“I always thought of Rambo when he was 16 or 17 – I hope they can do the prequel – he was the best person you could find. He was the captain of the team; he was the most popular kid in school; super athlete. He was like Jim Thorpe, and the war is what changed him. If you saw him before, he was like the perfect guy.”

This is the first information we have on what Rambo was like before he went to war and I can see a great story to be told there. He was the All-American boy before his life was forever changed when he was drafted and trained to go to war and kill. He already had the physical skills to become a badass warrior and the military honed those skills and transformed him into the ultimate killing machine.

Hell yeah, I’d totally watch a Rambo prequel if it ever got made!
