Sylvester Stallone Will Battle A Mexican Drug Cartel in RAMBO 5
Just like in all four of his films, it seems impossible for anyone to kill off John Rambo. So it comes as little surprise that Sylvester Stallone is pretty close to adding a fifth chapter to the Rambo saga.
It has not been confirmed by Stallone's reps but Deadline Hollywood reports that Millennium Films has already launched sales on the project in Cannes revealing a tentative shoot date for September of this year. Stallone is also said to be currently working on the script.
This new movie will be the fifth in the very lucrative franchise. And follows Rambo's struggles when the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped. Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, is forced to cross the U.S.-Mexican border and face the full force of one of Mexico’s most violent and vicious cartels. Something tells me, he's going to be just fine.
The first movie in the franchise, First Blood, launched in 1982 and this fifth installment has been "under construction" for some time. Stallone last reprised the iconic role of John Rambo in 2008's Rambo, a film that he also wrote and directed.
