Sylvester Stallone Wraps Production on RAMBO 5: LAST BLOOD and Shares His Thoughts on The Franchise in Video

Sylvester Stallone has wrapped production on Rambo 5: Last Blood and he released a video making the announcement. In that video, which you can watch below, he talks about how the franchise has been an amazing journey for him and how no one was interested in touching it at the time.

Stallone says that he was the eleventh choice in a line of people that the producers were taking the film project to back in 1980, and he’s the one who saw the potential. Everyone else saw it as a cursed project.

Well, Stallone did something incredible with it and built a hell of a badass film franchise! I’m so excited to see how this final chapter of the franchise will close out Rambo’s long journey.

You can check out the official synopsis for the film below:

Rambo teams up with a journalist to track down and rescue a group of local girls that have been kidnapped by a Mexican sex trafficking ring, after trying to settle down to a quiet peaceful life stateside at the family ranch in Arizona after spending decades abroad.

The movie is being directed by Adrian Grunberg. The movie also Paz Vega who will play Carmen Delgado, “a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped.”

Rambo 5: Last Blood doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will probably be released sometime next year in 2019.
