Taika Waititi Is in Talks to Join James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD

James Gunn is  sure looking to put together a hell of a great cast for The Suicide Squad. This weekend it was reported that Nathan Fillion would be joining the film, and now we have learned that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is in talks to join the movie as well!

The news comes from Deadline, but there’s no word on who he will be playing or how big of a part he’ll have in the movie. But the fact that he’s most likely going to end up appearing in the DC film is pretty exciting and gives me another reason to want to watch the movie.

If cast, Waititi will join Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, Flula Borg, and Steve Agee will provide the voice of King Shark.

Production on The Suicide Squad starts on September 23rd, and it opens in theaters on August 6, 2021.
