Take a Load Off in DUNGEONS & DRAGONS with THE ART OF GOATBALL

Goatball is a sport in Dungeons & Dragons that Goliaths enjoy. This is a game introduced in D&D 3.5 and thanks to Scott and Ashley Roepel, has been unofficially brought to D&D 5 Edition in The Art of Goatball. The game features two teams passing a goatskin ball around trying to score. One team is passing the ball three times to win while the other tries to intercept and interfere with the passes. Goatball sounds like a fun thing that can be introduced when your groups meet Goliaths or when they just need a fun break.

The guide includes a rundown of how to play the game created by goliaths and the history of how it came to be.

The game uses a furry, misshapen ball made out of stuffed goat-hide. Goatball requires raised platforms of trees, rocks, or stumps and two teams of four players. Players attempt to throw the goatball to teammates while avoiding interceptions. The first team to knock all the other players off the platforms and gain control of the ball wins.

It’s a great game to play if you have any downtime or encounter goliaths.

You can purchase The Art of Goatball from DMs Guild for any price you see fit.
