Cool VFX Reel For STAR WARS: RISE OF SKYWALKER Reveals How Leia Was Brought Into The Film and More

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been nominated for an Oscar in the visual effects category. Leading up to the big awards, Industrial Light & Magic has revealed a look behind the amazing effect. I will warn you that there are some spoilers ahead in case you haven’t seen the film yet.

The VFX reel for The Rise of Skywalker walks us through a lot of the different effects, including how they used footage from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi for the young Luke and Leia training montage. It also shows how Leia was incorporated into the film. Also, Babu Frik was a puppet that required six puppeteers.

This is a pretty awesome look behind the movie and makes me want to rewatch it.
