Tapas Media and Podium Audio Bring Web Comics to an Audio Format
Tapas Media is a platform for fans to share their webcomics and other fiction content. To give fans a new experience, they’ve teamed up with Podium Audio to launch some audio comics (read audiobooks). One of the first comics to get the treatment is the highly popular The Beginning After The End by TurtleMe.
The audio version will be narrated by Travis Baldree and is available on Audible now. Other titles on the way include Legend of the Arch Magus by Msisa and narrated by Tom Taylorson and Condemning the Heavens by Tinalynge and narrated by Scott Merriman. If none of those strike your fancy, you can look forward to adaptations of Blue Phoenix by Tinalynge, The Dragon Prince’s Bride by CJ Young, and more.

Dragon Generals series by Maham Fatemi
These are interconnected stories that focus on a different character per book. Below is the description of Drakkon, which will most likely be published first in a pack with Zhulong:
When a sweet and kind girl catches the eye of the emperor while applying to be his concubine, he surprises her by naming her his bride and future empress. But the emperor’s reputation is drenched in blood, and she is in more danger than she might expect.
All of the above titles are available to read on Tapas and I’m definitely interested to see how these audio versions pan out. Will you lose something in going from a comic to an audio experience? What comic on Tapas would you like to see become an audiobook?
