Taron Egerton Sings In First Teaser Trailer For Elton John Biopic ROCKETMAN

The first teaser trailer for Taron Egerton’s Elton John biopic Rocketman has released, and it features the actor belting out his version of “Rocketman.” The rest of the footage features over the top costumes, imagery, and all the other things you’d expect from this legendary singer.

The movie has also been described as, "a biographical musical fantasy that will weave together John’s life and his music." The story will follow his emergence as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music to become a music superstar "who rebelled against his strict upbringing, wore outrageous costumes and became a global icon who teamed with songwriter Bernie Taupin to sell more records than just about any musical artist of his era."

Dexter Fletcher (Bohemian Rhapsody) is attached to helm the project from a script written by Lee Hall. Egerton will be joined by Jamie Bell (TURN: Washington’s Spies), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom).
