Tatiana Maslany Talks About a Possible She-Hulk MCU Return and She Wants To Team Up with Baby Groot
While some Marvel fans continue to speculate on when She-Hulk might pop back up, Tatiana Maslany has finally addressed her future as the green lawyer-turned-superhero and even revealed which Marvel character she’s dying to share the screen with.
A second season of She-Hulk doesn’t seem to be in the cards right now, but Jennifer Walters showing up in something like Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars feels like a real possibility.
While promoting her upcoming horror film Keeper with The Monkey director Osgood Perkins, Maslany was asked by ComicBook if she had any updates on She-Hulk’s MCU future.
“I’m curious too. I just wish I had anything to say about it. I just really don’t."
That response leaves us wondering if she’s genuinely out of the loop or just keeping Marvel’s secrets under wraps. Either way, Maslany does have a dream crossover in mind if and when She-Hulk makes her return.
"Baby Groot! With the height discrepancy? Just milk that visual joke for as long it lasts."
Of course, Baby Groot isn’t exactly “baby” anymore, but, I guess, thanks to the Multiverse, Marvel could always find a way to bring back that fan-favorite version of the character for some comedic chemistry.
When She-Hulk premiered on Disney+, it definitely divided audiences. Many viewers loved its playful humor and fourth-wall-breaking style, while others felt it leaned too heavily into comedy.
The finale, in particular, was a sticking point for some fans, something even head writer Jessica Gao admitted during a 2022 interview.
"We really, really struggled with the finale. We started off doing a lot of versions of the finale that were much more just like straight and very, very Marvel movie, you know, and it just never felt right for us to just end in a big set piece fight, and take out the bad guy, and it just always felt like, ‘Oh, it’s a different show now.’"
Whether or not She-Hulk’s next chapter is on Disney+ or the big screen, it sounds like Maslany is game to return, but I seriously doubt we’ll see her team-up with Baby Groot.
