Taylor Sheridan Producing Two New Shows for Paramount+ with Billy Bob Thornton and Zoe Saldana

Yellowstone creator, producer, and writer Taylor Sheridan sure is keeping himself busy! On top of Yellowstone, he’s also got the spinoff 1883, the other recently announced spinoff 1932, and The Mayor of Kingstown. There was also the previously announced Sylvester Stallone series Tulsa King, which was formerly titled Kansas City. Then we have David Oyelowo’s western, Bass Reeves.

Now he’s got two more shows to add to his slate! The first show is titled Land Man, which stars Billy Bob Thornton. In the series, Thornton will star as “a crisis manager for an oil company, which is based on the Boomtown podcast.” It will begin production in 2023.

The second project is Lioness, which will star Zoe Saldaña. She will also executive and produced the series alongside Nicole Kidman.

Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program and follows “a Marine recruited to befriend the daughter of a terrorist to bring the organization down from within, will star Saldaña as Joe, a strong-willed, hard-nosed station chief of the CIA’s Lioness Program, tasked with training, managing and leading her female undercover operatives working to assassinate the world’s most dangerous terrorists.” Production will begin in June.

Sheridan is juggling a ton of projects, and I imagine he’ll end up adding even more to his slate! The guy is an incredibly talented storyteller, and I’m looking forward to watching ever single one of these projects he’s got cooking!
