Teaser Trailer For DHURANDHAR: THE REVENGE Reveals the Spy Thriller’s Explosive Return

The sequel to one of India’s biggest modern blockbusters is officially here, at least in teaser form. The follow-up to Dhurandhar has locked in its title, and fans can now get their first taste of what’s next with the newly released teaser trailer.

The film is titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and it brings Ranveer Singh back into the trenchcoat as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, the man who ultimately becomes the feared agent Hamza. Aditya Dhar is also back in the director’s chair, once again teaming with Jio Studios and B62 Studios to push this franchise forward.

The teaser opens before Hamza fully takes shape, showing Singh’s character asserting his grip over the streets of Lyari. He literally lets his hair down, soaking in the calm before the violence erupts.

The action ramps up quickly, and the sequel’s new title is saved for the closing moments of the preview. According to the producers, the film expands the scope into an “even bigger, bolder, and more formidable cinematic universe.”

That tease has sparked conversation online, including some fans pointing out that a few shots appear to reuse footage from the end of the first film. Even so, anticipation remains high, especially given just how massive Dhurandhar was at the box office.

Released in 2025, Dhurandhar became India’s highest-grossing film of the year, pulling in $105.25M. It also claimed the record for the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of all time, surpassing Stree 2, which earned $77.33M in 2024. The story followed Hamza as he infiltrated the Karachi underworld, blending spy thriller intensity with large-scale action that clearly connected with audiences.

The sequel is set to arrive in theaters on March 19, timed with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi. It’ll screen in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, a move the producers and distributors describe as a “strategic expansion driven by its massive demand across South India.”

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed, and produced by Dhar, keeping the creative vision tightly in one place.
