Teaser Trailer For Disney's STRANGE WORLD Goes Full on Retro Pulp Science Fiction!

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming animated feature film Strange World and it leans into all the things I love about retro pulp science fiction! This movie looks freakin’ rad! I love the story, I love the way it’s being marketed like the old sci-fi films of the 50s, and this movie looks like it’s going to be a blast! I’m a huge fan of the classic sci-fi films of the 50s and 60s, so I know I’m going to enjoy this!

Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the film and voices the character Searcher Clade, “the son of a steadfast explorer. The original action-adventure journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission.”

The movie was helmed by Don Hall (Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (Raya and the Last Dragon), and produced by Roy Conli (Big Hero 6, Tangled).

Strange World will be released on November 23rd, 2022, and I can’t wait to watch it!
