Teaser Trailer For Documentary Feature THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN About WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange

A teaser trailer has been released for the documentary feature The Six Billion Dollar Man, which follows the creator of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange.

The doc is directed by Eugene Jarecki (The Trials of Henry Kissinger, Why We Fight, Reagan, The House I Live In, The King), who has been working on this project for years.

The synopsis reads: “The documentary deals with Assange's battle against extradition to the United States. Framed as a high-tech international thriller, the film incorporates privileged access to WikiLeaks, CCTV and other archival footage and never-before-seen evidence to explore the increasingly precarious position of journalists in a world where the defence of truth is under threat.”

The Six Billion Dollar Man premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival last year as a last minute addition to the line-up, where it won the Grand Prize for documentary and the first-ever Golden Globe Award given to a documentary filmmaker.

It also played at DOC NYC, and it’s scheduled to hit select US theatres this summer. Stay tuned for a release date, and check out the teaser trailer below:
