Teaser Trailer for HBO Max's WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY

HBO Max has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, which is about the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. It looks like it’s gonna be a great show! I dig this teaser trailer!

The series is described as “a fast-break series chronicling the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Lakers, one of sports’ most revered and dominant dynasties — a team that defined its era, both on and off the court.”

The series features all main athletes and people involved including Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson, John C. Reilly as Jerry Buss, Sean Patrick Small as Larry Bird, Sally Field as Jessie Buss, Adrien Brody as Pat Riley, Mike Epps as Richard Pryor, Max E. Williams as Jack Nicholson, Carina Conti as Paula Adbul, Jason Segel as Paul Westhead, Michael Boucher as Jack Curran, Solomon Hughes as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael AG Scott as Butch Lee, Gaby Hoffmann as Claire Rothman, Hadley Robinson as Jeanie Buss, DeVaughn Nixon as Norm Nixon, Molly Gordon as Linda Zafrani, Rob Morgan as Earvin Johnson Sr., Spencer Garrett as Chick Hearn, Kirk Bovill as Donald Sterling, Delante Desouza as Michael Cooper, Stephen Adly Guirgis as Frank Mariani, Tamera Tomakili as Earletha “Cookie” Kelly and Joey Brooks as Lon Rosen.

The first episode is even directed by Adam McKay, of Anchorman and The Big Short and this year's Don't Look Up. He is also producing. Max Borenstein (Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, King of the Monsters Worth, Godzilla vs Kong) serves as co-writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty series streaming on HBO Max starting in March 2022 early next year.
