Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming fantasy animated series Dragon Age: Absolution, which is a six-episode show based on BioWare’s popular video game franchise.

The series is set in Tevinter, which is an empire within the Dragon Age universe. There aren’t really any plot details, but it’s explained that it will feature “an ensemble of new characters inspired by, and authentic to, Dragon Age lore; including elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and other special surprises.”

The series was created by showrunner Mairghread Scott (Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Marvel Rising) and it’s being produced by Red Dog Culture House.

Netflix has done some great things with several of its animated projects, and it looks like this one could be good!
