Teaser Trailer for Netflix's MONEY HEIST Spinoff Series BERLIN

A teaser trailer has been released by Netflix for the Money Heist spinoff series, Berlin. The prequel, which is centered around Pedro Alonso’s titular thief, will give us a look at one of Berlin’s previous heists before the original series, which involves a different crew. The series teases the character’s life as a master thief before he found out about his terminal illness, which was first revealed in the popular main series.

The show’s synopsis reads:

“The spin-off focuses on an earlier period in Berlin’s life, which is touched upon in flashbacks in the later seasons of Money Heist. Berlin says there are only two things that can turn a bad day into a great one: love and a million-dollar payday. This is what keeps him razor focused on his lofty goals. So he’s preparing one of his most extreme heists yet — disappearing $44 million worth of jewels. But first, he’ll need to enlist the help of some savvy criminals: Keila, a cybersecurity mastermind; Damián, an academic and Berlin’s close friend; Cameron, a loose cannon who lives life on the edge; Roi, a locksmith and Berlin’s faithful sidekick; and Bruce, who’s fluent in gadgets and weaponry.”

The eight-episode heist drama hails from Money Heist creators Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina. It is written by Lobato, Pina, David Olivia, and David Berrocal, who directs along with Geoffrey Cowper. Joining Alonso in the prequel are Tristán Ulloa (Fariña) as Berlin’s confidant Damián; Michelle Jenner as electronics specialist Keila; Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden) as Cameron; Julio Peña Fernández (Through My Window) as Roi; and Joel Sánchez as Bruce.

Check out the trailer below, and watch Berlin on Netflix on December 29th.
