Teaser Trailer For Nicolas Winding Refn's Dark Crime Thriller Amazon Series TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG
The director behind Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon, Nicolas Winding Refn, is developing a new 10-episode series for Amazon called Too Old To Die Young. This is a dark noir crime thriller that "explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following characters’ existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurais in the City of Angels."
Refn wrote the series alongside Ed Brubaker (Captain American: The Winter Soldier, Westworld) and as you'll see in this first teaser trailer for the series, it's pure Refn. If you're familiar with his film work, you'll see that he brought his signature dark neon noire style to this series.
The films that Refn has made have been hit and miss for me. Drive is easily his best film, in my opinion. I'll definitely be watching this new series of his. I'm intrigued by this first trailer.
The series stars Miles Teller, Jena Malone, William Baldwin, Celestino Cornielle, Nell Tiger Free, John Hawkes, Callie Hernandez and Kegn Matungulu. It's set to arrive on Amazon in 2019.
