Teaser Trailer for R.L. Stine's New GOOSEBUMPS Series Coming to Disney+ - "Don't Blink"
R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps is making a comeback as a new series coming to Disney+ and today we’ve got a teaser trailer offering a first look. It was also announced that the series is set to premiere on Friday the 13th of October!
The Goosebumps series “follows a group of five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle – while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past.”
In the story, “Three decades after a teenage boy named Harold Biddle passed away, the friends throw a Halloween party in his old house, prompting a new haunted reality to come to life. As the kids work together to save their town, they find out some chilling discoveries about their own families.”
In regard to the release, The Wrap says “The adaptation will launch October 13 on both Disney+ and Hulu with the first five episodes of the series running as part of Disney+’s ‘Hallowstream’ and Hulu’s ‘Huluween’ celebrations. Subsequent installments of the 10-episode series will release weekly. The first two episodes of Goosebumps will also air October 13 on Freeform during its ‘31 Nights of Halloween’ programming.”
The first episode of the series will be directed by Rob Letterman, who directed the 2015 Goosebumps movie. He’s also a writer and executive producer along with Nick Stoller.
The series stars Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris and Isa Briones.
