Teaser Trailer for Robert Rodriguez's SPY KIDS: ARMAGEDDON Explodes with Kid Energy
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for director Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids: Armageddon, which serves as a reboot of the popular sci-fi kids franchise. This is a franchise I was never really able to get into, but my kids enjoyed those original films when they were younger. This movie is for the kids, and I’m sure it’ll be fun for them! As you’ll see the trailer definitely explodes with kid energy.
The story centers on a pair of siblings, played by Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson, who learn their parents, played by Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi, are secretly undercover spies who find themselves in trouble and in need of being rescued.
In the film, “When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world.”
Rodriguez talked about the film in an interview with People saying: “We have a really fun new cast, Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi are so wonderful together, and our new Spy Kids Connor and Everly are simply magical. They are super talented, and very fun to watch.”
He added, “I’ve just heard from so many families how much they’ve enjoyed these films over the course of their lives. And now a lot of kids who enjoyed the first films as children are parents themselves and enjoy sharing them with their kids.”
Spy Kids: Armageddon will be released on Netflix on September 22, 2023.
