Teaser Trailer for Stephen and Robbie Amell's Sci-Fi Action Film CODE 8
Back in 2016, Arrow star Stephen Amell and his cousin Robbie Amell (The Flash) launched a Kickstarter for a sci-fi film called Code 8. We’ve already seen a cool clip from the film, but today we have the first teaser trailer to share with you.
The movie was directed by Jeff Chan and also stars Fast and Furious actor Sung Kang. The trailer shows off some cool footage and gives us a little taste of what the story will entail. I like what I’ve seen from the film so far and this is the synopsis:
Code 8 is set in a world where 4 percent of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, but rather than be billionaires or superheroes, most "specials" face discrimination, live in poverty and often resort to crime.
That leaves Connor Reed, played by The Flash star Robbie Amell, as a powerful young man struggling to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment. To earn money, he joins a criminal world led by Garrett, played by Arrow star Stephen Amell.
Kang is playing the head of a militarized police unit in the story. Vertical Entertainment will release the film on December 13th, 2019.
