Teaser Trailer For THE COWBOY AND THE SAMURAI is About Jack Nicholson and John Belushi Stuck in a House

"Two Hollywood hellraisers, stuck in a house… then what happens?"

This is a teaser trailer for an upcoming indie film titled The Cowboy and The Samurai. It’s made by the YouTube channel The Lewis Brothers, and the story was inspired by the making of the 1978 comedy Goin’ South, which was a western that Jack Nicholson starred in and directed.

He ended up casting John Belushi to star alongside him in the film, which the producers of the film advised against. The two Hollywood hellraisers ended up getting into all kinds of trouble together during the development of the film.

Here’s the brief plot summary:

In 1978, world renowned movie star, Jack Nicholson, made his directorial debut, a western called Goin' South. Against the advice of his producers, he cast up and coming comedian John Belushi. Based on a true story…

Jamie Costa plays Nicholson and Sandy Danto plays Belushi in the film. There's not much footage, but it looks like it could be an interesting and fun flick.

The Cowboy and The Samurai is directed by Jake Lewis, with a script written by Jake and Sam Lewis. The YouTube channel says that the "full film [is] coming soon to The Lewis Brothers channel."
