A teaser trailer has been released for an upcoming indie horror film titled The Fall of Usher, which will adapt some of the tales of Edgar Allan Poe. This project is separate from the Netflix series being developed by Mike Flanagan, The Fall of the House of Usher.

The movie centers on a “young man caring for his terminally ill father gets pulled into a maelstrom of murder, madness and the macabre.”

The film was written and directed by Brian Cunningham, and it stars Spencer Korcz (Wretch, One Wrong Step), James Tackett (Overtime, United We Fall), Savannah Schafer (Night of 1000 Clowns, Beasts of the Field), and Rita Hight (Roman Citizen, Bullitt Country).

It seems like the producing team took Flanagan’s basic concept for his series and rushed out this movie. Mill Creek Entertainment brings the film to Digital on July 12, 2022.
