Teaser Trailer for the Fourth and Final Season of the Horror Series EVIL
Paramount+ has released the first teaser trailer for the fourth and final season of the awesome horror series Evil. I am a big fan of this show, but unfortunately, the series has been canceled, so there will be no Season 5. The streamer announced that they’ve ordered four bonus episodes for Season 4 so that the creative team will be able to properly bring the show to an end.
The series was created by Robert and Michelle King and the final four episodes are set to start production in New York City soon to wrap up the storyline.
Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+ said in a statement: “Robert and Michelle King created a unique and deeply entertaining way of exploring the intersection of religion and science. We thank Robert, Michelle and the immensely talented cast and crew of Evil and are incredibly proud of their collective work on the series. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for these characters, in what is sure to be a nail-biting, wild ride of a final season.”
David Stapf, President of CBS Studios added: “It’s hard to underscore the ability of Robert and Michelle King to cleverly craft thought-provoking stories that push creative boundaries time and time again, and Evil is no exception. We’re proud to call them partners, and want to thank them both, Liz Glotzer, the entire cast and the crew for bringing these complex characters to life year after year as we celebrate this final season of Evil.”
If you haven’t been watching this show, you need to start! The show revolves around Dr. Kristen Bouchard, a forensic psychologist, who — despite her doubts and skepticism — solves supernatural-related crimes alongside David Acosta.
The official synopsis for Evil reads as follows: “Skeptical psychologist Kristen Bouchard joins David Acosta, who is training to be a Catholic priest, and a blue collar contractor as they investigate the church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences. Their job is to assess if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work, examining the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion.”
Robert and Michelle King, series co-creators, showrunners and executive producers of Evil went on to say: “We want to thank Paramount+ for giving us four bonus episodes to end Evil in the world in style. We will miss this show and cast. In many ways it was a dream project, but sadly evil will outlast Evil. See you in May.”
The series stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Andrea Martin, Kurt Fuller, Christine Lahti, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp.
