Teaser Trailer For THE LOST BOYS: A NEW MUSICAL Stage Event Based on the Cult Classic 1987 Film

A teaser trailer has been released for the adapted stage event The Lost Boys: A New Musical, based on the cult classic 1987 teen vampire movie The Lost Boys. This musical will be directed by Michael Arden, featuring music and lyrics by The Rescues, the book by David Hornsby & Chris Hoch, from the story by James Jeremias and Janice Fischer. The project is being produced by James Carpinello, Marcus Chait and Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.

There have been a few straight-to-DVD sequels over the years, and many plans for remakes and reboots that never saw the light of day, but this musical is moving forward, as a teaser has already dropped. We don’t have any info about when and where people can watch this just yet, but it looks like we will be able to share that soon.

I don’t know that anyone ever wanted or needed a sequel or musical to the first film, which is such a beloved movie to those of us who grew up watching it, but here this comes. Who knows, maybe it will end up being a lot of fun. If it can embody the campy humorous horror of the original, it may just end up being a good time.
