Teaser Trailer For Tim Burton's Addams Family-Inspired Series WEDNESDAY
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s upcoming Addams Family-inspired series Wednesday. The teaser offers our very first look at Jenna Ortega in the role of Wednesday Addams, and she fits the role perfectly! The hand character, Thing, also pops up in the teaser!
This is a twisted coming-of-age comedy series about “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
The series also stars Luis Guzmán, who is playing Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in the role of Morticia Addams. The series also stars Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa and Moosa Mostafa.
The eight-episode series was written by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, and Burton will direct. All three of them will also serve as showrunners on the series and executive producers.
There’s no release date yet, but it’s coming soon. I’ll be looking forward to watching it.
