Teaser Trailer Released for Netflix's JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS Animated Series

Earlier today it was announced that Netflix was developing a Jurassic World animated spinoff series called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous with DreamWorks Animation. Well, we now have a teaser trailer to share with you that gives us our first look at what we can expect from the show.

While the teaser doesn’t really get into the story, we do get a look at the kind of animation we’ll be seeing, and it looks like great stuff! I’m glad to see that the animation will have a higher quality to it than many of the shows we are seeing these days.

The series will be set in the same universe and timeline as the two Jurassic World films. Here’s the official synopsis:

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.

Steven Spielberg is producing the series along with Frank Marshall, and Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) serve as showrunners. There’s no word if any of the characters from the original film will show up in the series.

The series is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
