Ted Danson Goes Deep Undercover in Fun Trailer for A MAN ON THE INSIDE Season 2
Netflix just dropped the first trailer for A Man on the Inside Season 2, and it looks like Ted Danson is diving headfirst into another undercover mission that will take him on a heartfelt and hilarious journey.
The new season, based on the acclaimed documentary The Mole Agent, finds Danson’s character taking on a new identity, new challenges, and maybe even a new shot at love.
The official synopsis teases: Charles Nieuwendyk (Danson) is eager for another big case when a mysterious blackmailer sets their sights on Wheeler College president Jack Berenger, played by Max Greenfield.
To crack the case, Berenger enlists Charles to go undercover as a professor. The question is, who’s behind these threats? And could it somehow be tied to Gary Cole’s Brad Vinick, a billionaire alum whose massive donation to the school might not be as generous as it seems?
As Charles digs deeper, his mission takes a turn when he meets Mona, a spirited music teacher played by Mary Steenburgen, whose zest for life reawakens something in him he thought he’d lost.
“Is he ready to open his heart again at this stage in his life? And more importantly, has he fallen for the very criminal he’s been sent to unmask?” Netflix teases.
While Charles wrestles with matters of the heart and duty, his daughter Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) begins rediscovering her own long-forgotten passions. Meanwhile, PI Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) starts a personal journey of growth when she reconnects with someone from her past.
Created by Michael Schur, A Man on the Inside continues to blend sharp humor with emotional storytelling, much like Schur’s previous work on The Good Place and Parks and Recreation. I really enjoyed the first season and I’m looking forward to watching this next chapter of the story.
Season 2 promises more heartfelt twists, undercover antics, and the signature warmth that made the first season such a hit. With Danson and Steenburgen sharing the screen once again, fans can expect a good time!
