Ted Danson Set to Star Opposite Elizabeth Banks in Apple TV+ Comedy Series From Liz Heldens and Matt Ward

Two-time Emmy winning actor Ted Danson (Cheers, A Man on the Inside, The Good Place) is joining Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, The Miniature Wife) in the new Apple TV+ comedy series from creators Liz Heldens and Matt Ward. In addition to Banks and Danson, the series regular cast also includes Rob Delaney (Deadpool & Wolverine, Dying For Sex).

In the as-yet-untitled project, fresh off a messy divorce, Heidi (Banks) sets out to secure a lively second act for herself and her kids. But when she stumbles into coordinating her father’s (Danson) retirement community sexcapades, Heidi is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend’s perpetually single son.

Danson is currently the lead of the Netflix comedy series A Man on the Inside, which was renewed in February for a third season. His work on the new Apple series is not expected to affect his work on A Man on the Inside.

This new series is set to begin production in Los Angeles this year.
