Sarah Niles (I May Destroy You, Viewpoint) has been hired on for the second season of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso. The series premiered in August 2020, right when we needed it the most, and tells the story of American football coach Ted Lasso, who was hired to coach football (soccer) in England.

Lasso is the eternal optimist, who gets at the heart of every matter, and whose kindness connects to everyone he meets. Lasso is played by Jason Sudeikis, who just won the Golden Globe for best actor for the series.

Niles will play “a sports psychologist who has been brought in to work with AFC Richmond.” Niles is re-teaming with Apple, after having been in Trying at the streamer.

The second season of the series is currently in production in London, and I can’t wait to see it come back. Ted Lasso has already been renewed for a third season as well.
