TED LASSO Season 4 Sets Summer Release and Brings Jason Sudeikis Back to Richmond With New First-Look Photos
AFC Richmond is officially reopening its doors. After months of waiting, Ted Lasso Season 4 finally has a release window, and it’s coming sooner than expected.
Apple TV has confirmed that the beloved series will return globally this summer, along with a fresh batch of first-look photos and new details about where the story is headed next.
Production is currently underway, and yes, Jason Sudeikis is back in the mustache. Sudeikis returns as Ted Lasso and continues his role as executive producer. He’s joined once again by familiar faces Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, reuniting the core cast that helped turn the show into a cultural phenomenon.
Season 4 also introduces several new additions, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
This time around, Ted’s journey takes a sharp turn. Instead of the Premier League grind, he’s stepping into unfamiliar territory by coaching a second-division women’s football team.
The official synopsis teases a season built around risk and reinvention: “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
Jack Burditt joins Season 4 as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV. Sudeikis executive produces alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel.
Goldstein pulls double duty again as writer and executive producer with Leanne Bowen. The writers’ room also includes Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh as writers and producers, Sasha Garron as co-producer, Julia Lindon as a writer, and Dylan Marron serving as story editor.
The series continues under Bill Lawrence’s Doozer Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content.
Ted Lasso became a breakout hit for Apple TV, with its first season earning a record number of Emmy nominations for a comedy series. That success didn’t slow down, as the show went on to secure back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series wins for its first two seasons. Season 4 now carries the challenge of following that legacy while finding new emotional ground to explore.
Apple TV has also shared several first-look stills teasing what’s ahead, offering a glimpse at Ted’s next chapter and the evolving dynamics around Richmond.
