TED Season 2 Red-Band Trailer Brings the Foul-Mouthed Teddy Bear Back to High School Chaos
Peacock has released the red-band trailer for Ted Season 2, and it’s exactly as unfiltered, inappropriate, and hilarious as fans were hoping for.
The foul-mouthed teddy bear created by Seth MacFarlane is back, and this time he’s dragging his best friend John into the social nightmare that is senior year of high school.
Set in the early ’90s, Ted picks up long after the bear’s brief moment of pop culture fame fizzled out. Ted, voiced by MacFarlane, is now living in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 17-year-old John Bennett, played by Max Burkholder.
They share the house with John’s parents, Matty and Susan, portrayed by Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach, along with John’s cousin Blaire, played by Giorgia Whigham.
Matty is a loud, blue-collar Boston guy who sees himself as the unquestioned authority in the house and regularly butts heads with Blaire, his outspoken and progressive niece.
Susan is the emotional glue of the family, endlessly caring and almost overly sweet in how she looks after everyone. Blaire, a sharp-tongued college student, constantly clashes with her more traditional relatives, which only adds to the chaos Ted happily stirs up.
Season 2 jumps ahead to 1994 and drops Ted and John right into their senior year. John is spiraling over the fact that he’s about to graduate without ever having had a girlfriend, and Ted decides to help and it all spirals into comedic chaos.
What follows is a mess of bad advice, questionable decisions, and the kind of disaster that feels painfully familiar to anyone who remembers high school.
MacFarlane is once again serving as writer, director, executive producer, and co-showrunner alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, who also write and executive produce.
Ted Season 2 premieres Thursday, March 5 on Peacock.
