TERRIFIER 3 Teased with Four New Images and The Christmas Films That Inspired It
Four new images have been released for the upcoming slasher horror sequel, Terrifier 3. It was also announced that a teaser trailer will be released on Wednesday as San Diego Comic-Con launches.
The images offer a new look at Art the Clown along with Lauren LaVera as Sienna and Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes, who is possessed.
In this next chapter of the story, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
Some new details have also been shared revealing that this next chapter of the story is set five years after the events of Terrifier 2.
It’s also explained that Sienna and her brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam) are still dealing with the trauma they suffered at the hands of Art The Clown.
Writer and director Damien Leone says that Sienna has "been in and out of a mental health facility just dealing with all of this – not only just what she's been through but what she's becoming and what her role is in this universe."
Leone also shares some of the holiday movies that inspired the Christmas-set horror sequel, saying: “Pretty much any classic Christmas movie trope you could imagine, I try to put Art the Clown in that situation and see how he would handle that."
He also reveals three Christmas films that inspired the movie, including Bad Santa, Black Christmas, and the Tales From the Crypt episode "And All Through the House."
Terrifier 3 will hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
