Terrifying Trailer for Amazon Horror Anthology Series THEM Set in 1950s Los Angeles
Amazon has released a terrifying trailer for the horror anthology series Them. The show is set in a 1950s suburban Los Angeles neighborhood, where a black family buys a home and moves in, not only shocking the all-white neighbors, but creating a tense and dangerous atmosphere among them. The show also ventures into the supernatural, with the family experiencing strange and scary phenomenon throughout their home.
The series was created by Little Marvin, who executive produces the series alongside Lena Waithe, Miri Yoon, and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, David Matthews, and Don Kurt. Them is the 10-episode first season of the terror anthology series, and it stars Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Alison Pill, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Melody Hurd, and Ryan Kwanten.
Here’s the synopsis:
Them is a limited anthology series that explores terror in America. The 1950s-set first season centers on a Black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood during the period known as The Great Migration. The family’s idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next-door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.
This looks like a really good series. It may get a little scarier than I am comfortable with, but I am excited to try it out. I loved the time and setting of Lovecraft Country and the scares that came along with that series, so I am hoping I can hang in with this show as well. Them premieres exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, April 9, 2021. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
